Privacy policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
The privacy of your data, and it is your data, not ours, is a big deal to us. This policy sets out what we collect and why, how it is handled, and your rights over it. Parcelle Clips is run by Granite Springs Enterprises LLC. We never sell your data: never have, never will.
What we collect and why
Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. In practice that means:
Identity and access
When you sign up we ask for your name and email address, so you can sign in and we can send you what the service needs to send: sign-in links, the email that says a clip is ready, and notices about your account. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and email address. We never use your name or business in our marketing without your permission.
Billing information
If you pay for Parcelle Clips, your card details go directly to our payment processor, Stripe, and never reach our servers. We keep a record of each payment and of your credit balance for your account history, invoices and billing support.
Your footage, clips and edits
We store the videos you upload, the clips we make from them, their transcripts, and the edits you make, so the app can do what you signed up for. To make a clip, your footage is processed by our software and by the providers listed below: its words are transcribed, moments are chosen, and the picture is framed and captioned. We keep a record of the edits you make and use those records to improve Parcelle Clips, as our Terms say. No other customer ever sees your footage, clips or edits.
Footage is kept for 30 days without use. We keep a video's original footage for 30 days after you last open, edit or download any clip made from it, and email you 7 days before it goes. Then the footage is deleted and the clips stay, until you delete them or your account.
Website and app use
We log the IP address and browser that sign up and sign in, to protect accounts and to keep out spam and fraud. If you accept analytics cookies, we also measure which pages are visited, how long they take to load and which site referred you, to see what works and what to improve. If you decline, those analytics do not load. Separately, our own database records the pages you open and the main steps you take (uploading, signing up, editing, downloading, buying), tied to a random number kept in your browser and, once you have an account, to that account. It holds no IP address, uses no cookie and goes to no one else. Our Cookie policy has the details.
Correspondence
When you email us, we keep the correspondence, including your email address, so we have the history if you write again.
Who processes your data for us
We use these companies to run Parcelle Clips. Each handles your data only to do its part:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and the app, holds the account database, stores your footage and clips, and runs the check that keeps bots out of sign-up.
- Fly.io runs the machines that cut, frame and caption your clips.
- Groq transcribes the audio of your footage into words with timings.
- Anthropic reads transcripts to choose moments and to carry out the edits you ask for in chat.
- Moondream may read a few frames of a clip to find text burned into the picture, only when our own reader cannot.
- Stripe takes payments; your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Resend sends our emails, such as sign-in links and the email that says a clip is ready.
- Google lets you sign in with Google if you choose to, and measures site visits if you accept analytics cookies.
- PostHog measures how the site is used, only if you accept analytics cookies.
When we access or disclose your information
- To provide the service you asked for, through the providers above.
- To help you with a support request, with your permission. No person at Parcelle Clips looks at your footage or clips unless you ask us to, or to fix an error that stopped a clip or an edit partway through. When that happens we look for the root cause so it does not happen again.
- To investigate, prevent or act on misuse of the service, as a last resort.
- Aggregated and de-identified data. We may combine or de-identify information, for example to learn how long a typical clip takes, and use that for any purpose.
- When required by law. We disclose data only when compelled by a valid legal process, such as a warrant, subpoena or court order, and we tell the affected customer first unless the law forbids it.
If Granite Springs Enterprises LLC is ever acquired by or merges with another company, we will tell you well before any of your personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Your rights over your information
We apply the same rights to every customer, wherever they live:
- Right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used. This policy is our answer.
- Right of access to the personal information we hold about you, and a copy of it on request.
- Right to correction of your personal information.
- Right to erasure. Ask us to delete your account and it is permanently deleted within 30 days.
- Right to restrict or object to processing, including opting out of analytics.
- Right to portability of your data. Your clips can always be downloaded.
- Right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not charge you more or serve you worse for using these rights.
To use any of these rights, email clips@parcelle.ai. We may need to confirm your identity, usually by your account's email address, before we act on a request.
Children's privacy
Parcelle Clips is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that someone under 13 has given us personal information, we delete it. If you believe a child has given us information, email clips@parcelle.ai and we will remove it.
How we secure your data
All data is encrypted with TLS on its way between your browser and our servers. Your footage and clips are stored with our hosting providers, and access to them is limited to the systems that make and serve your clips.
Location of the service and your data
Parcelle Clips is operated in the United States, and your data is processed and stored there. If you use Parcelle Clips from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States.
Changes and questions
We may update this policy to comply with regulations and reflect new practices. When we make a significant change, we will refresh the date at the top of this page and tell account holders by email. Questions, comments or concerns about this policy or your data are welcome at clips@parcelle.ai.
These policies are adapted from Basecamp's open-source policies, available under the CC BY 4.0 licence. We changed them to fit Parcelle Clips and added our own clauses. See also our Terms, Privacy policy, Refund policy and Copyright policy.
